Camping:

South Rim:

There are 2 campgrounds inside park.
Desert View Campground is first-come, first-serve.
Mather Campground is operated by the Grand Canyon National Park Service. You can reserve at its on-line reservation center only.

North Rim:

North Rim Campground is open only from mid May to mid October.

Outside the park camping ground:
Ten-X Campground is just 4-1/2 miles south of the entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim, in Tusayan, Arizona, off of US Highway 180. First come first serve.

South Rim:

Manage all in-the-park lodging at Grand Canyon including El Tovar Hotel, Bright Angel Lodge & Cabins, Kachina Lodge, Maswik Lodge, Yavapai Lodge, Thunderbird Lodge. You also can request a reservation for Phantom Ranch and Trailer Village. Please book far ahead during the peak season.


North rim:

There are 85 Frontier Cabins, 52 Western Cabins, 28 Pioneer Cabins and 40 Motel Rooms. Information and on-line reservation.


Outside of park:

There are a lot of motels/hotels at Williams, Flagstaff, Sedona and Additional Communities.

Driving

Driving directions to south rim and north rim:
From Las Vegas (NV), Los Angeles (CA), Salt Lake City (UT), Denver (CO), Albuquerque (NM), Flagstaff (AZ), Phoenix (AZ), Sedona (AZ), Williams (AZ).

Shuttle

The Hermits Rest Route is NOT in service between December 1 and February 28. During those three months ONLY, Hermit Road and the road out to Yaki Point/South Kaibab are open to private vehicles. Free shuttle buses operate on four routes on the South Rim at Grand Canyon National Park: Hermits Rest Route, Village Route, Kaibab Trail Route, and Canyon View/Mather Point Route.

A rim to rim shuttle service is provided seasonally between the between the North and South Rims for a fee by Trans Canyon Shuttle.
A hiker shuttle to the North Kaibab trailhead is available 5:20 a.m. and 7:20 a.m. daily.
