Hong Kong Visa /Entry Permit Application Information

Nationals of P. R. China transiting in Hong Kong do not require a visa for a stay of maximum 7 days provided traveling to a third destination. Confirmed return/onward ticket and relating documents are required for next destination, excepting for transit/surface travel to Macao or China.

Climate & Weather

Hong Kong is sub-tropical climate. Summer from May to October is hot and humid. Winter between January and February is cloudier and occasional chilly. Fall and Spring are pleasant breezes, plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures.

Typhoon season normally begins in June and ends in September. Every year at least two or three typhoons will hit Hong Kong.

When To Visit

Recently with the growth of mainland China tourists, Hong Kong's peak tourist season becomes virtually year-round, especially during Chinese the Golden Holiday Week around May 1, October 1 and Chinese New Year. In addition, Spring (March to April) and Fall (October to November) Hong Kong always have international conventions and trade fairs. Summer is relatively the off peak season due to hot and humid weather.
