我打算在Puerto Rico的行程

拿着刚从Amazon买到的Lonely Planet Puerto Rico 2005版, 之前在书店翻了大多数的Puerto Rico Guide Book, 还是觉得关于Puerto Rico的介绍, 这一次是Lonely Planet胜出. 建议去那儿的朋友买一本带着参考.

我实际在Puerto Rico的时间只有两个半天, 主要是多留了些时间给USVI了, 翻了一下书, 也有了个大概的想法, 打算半天时间在Old San Juan, 一天是东面的Caribbean National Forest El Yunque, Punta Santiago, Las Croabas一带, 逆时针绕, 争取晚上在Laguna Grande, 也是一个bioluminescent bay. 另一天会去西面, 地方比较大, 多办会去那个大的天文望远镜 Observatorio de Arecibo, Parque de las Cavernas del Rio Camuy溶洞, Rincon看看大浪, La Parguera 吃吃海鲜什么的, 如果有时间, 会沿着那条曲哩拐弯的路折回San Juan.

当然了, 我最近的行程计划不再象最初菜鸟时候订的那么仔细了, 往往就是这样想一下, 定几个大方向, 然后看着具体行程情况在决定, 因为出去玩不是定计划, 有的地方你喜欢, 可能一天也就呆在那儿了. 当然我们第一次去, 还想多看看, 所以要找到比较平衡的玩法, 总之一切随心情, 再好的计划也赶不上变化不是.

之前提到的Vieques 岛的bioluminescent bay, 权衡再三还是决定这次不去了,因为比较偏, 去一次的成本很高, 而且还要在岛上呆一晚, 时间也有限. 原来打算从St Thomas 飞到Vieques , 然后第二天直飞San Juan回来, 不过恰巧我们回来的前一天是圣诞节, 所以人家的tour也不开, 就算了. 取其次, 决定去Puerto Rico的第二个bioluminescent bay Laguna Grande看看, 虽然不如前一个亮, 不过应该也可以看到的. 还有一个在西南面, 据说由于污染, 效果已经不好了.

可能有时间的话也会专门做个网页汇总我的功课, 不过时间不够的话, 就只好等回来了. 其它想去的朋友有什么打算的,请留言, 大家多说说比较有意思.

有用信息:
1. Day Trips to Culebra and Vieques from Old San Juan! The new Island Fast Ferry goes to Culebra in only 1.5 hours and then continues to Vieques before returning to Old San Juan in the afternoon. A great way to explore the ‘Spanish Virgin Islands’ in just one day!

2. The A-5 Bus runs from Isla Verde to Old San Juan all day to about 9pm (but its best to check when the last bus leaves). The A-5 Bus runs about every 15 minutes and takes about 40 minutes to reach the bus terminal at the edge of Old San Juan. The bus fare is only seventy-five cents (exact change only)! If you plan to stay in Old San Juan later than this, taxis can be found in ‘Plaza Colon’ near the statue of Columbus & the corner of Calle Fortaleza (near Starbucks, Aqua Viva, Dragon Fly). A taxi should cost approximately $20 for the return trip to Isla Verde depending on traffic and time (night surcharge may apply).

3. The ferry to Cataño is only fifty cents each way and will give you an unforgettable view of Old San Juan from the water.

    我现在大致这样打算：
    21 Sat，7am 船到，下船入关后估计9am，放了行李在老城玩。如果半天就转完了，租个车到sju周围转转，在sju外围找个地方住（估计便宜点）；如果能在城里走一天，就在城里住吧，省下一天的车钱也就够旅馆的差价了。给点意见？

    22 Sun，自己开车出去玩，还没定好去哪。下午3点到Fajardo的渡口，乘ferry到vieques。晚上biobay。

    23 Mon，一早6：30的ferry回Fajardo，开车去El Yunque雨林，下午回到sju机场，5点多起飞。

    只要在fajardo能找到地方停租来的车，overnight 且价钱不离谱，vieques之行就基本ok啦。biobay tour 30pp, 住vieques 大概50。

    siyuewu, 听上去很不错, 至少精华都看了. :) 一月份是好时候啊, 应该不会象圣诞节这么贵了. 你们cruise是什么deal啊?

    siyuewu，vieques 50一晚在哪里啊？
    说说我们的行程吧。
    18号：下午1点半到sju，然后下午逛old san juan。
    19号：一早去机场取车，去El Yunque,fajardo的biobay。
    20号：ponce。
    21号：天文望远镜，溶洞
    22号：机动，去beach
    23号：一早还车，飞st thomas，住st thomas
    24号：去st johns,住st thomas
    25号：下午2点回san juan，4点半飞回家
    但是现在觉得去VI可能需要I20之类的东西比较麻烦，所以另一个方案是后面几天不去VI,去culebra和vieques。但是不晓得culebra和vieques各住一晚旅馆好不好找。给点意见吧。

    我们的cruise是celebrity 的constellation,就是smallx他们那条船，行程基本一样，只有一个港口不同（把那个有著名帅哥Eli的Antigua 换成了St. Kitts,气死我也），7－night 500多，算不上很好的deal。可恶的是我们飞sju的机票太太太贵，整一个killer。

    我们前面5天都住在san juan，ponce去玩什么还没具体看呢。看mitbbs精华区里说有个红树林，还有rincon的海滩，ponce城里应该也有些可以看的吧。我们是12月。

    lilytang：mit的精华我好像都翻了n遍了，居然漏了这么两句话。有时间再到英文网站上转转。
    我似乎觉得PR没有VI好玩啊，你们不如把PR的行程压缩点，到VI玩2天吧。fufu做了VI的作业，应该更有发言权。

    嗯, 至少就海滩而言, USVI更有加勒比海的魅力, 好多海滩全球排名都在前面. PR的话可以去你要去的那两个岛看看, 不是也俗称spanish virgin island嘛. 不过如果怎么都要去USVI的话, 我还是建议多呆几天. 我的行程是PR2天半, USVI4天. 我们喜欢海.

    据我理解，去PR就跟去其他50个州一样，驾照就足够了。

    虽然去Puerto Rico不需要签证, 但是一定要带护照和在美合法身份的文件以防万一. 不光是去PR这种地方, 去老美好多边境地区都需要, 否则遇到边境移民警察的话很麻烦. 另外PR的地位和其它州还是不太一样, 它是老美的ELA, Estado Libre Associado, 不用交联邦税, 没有参议员, 不能参加联邦选举等等.

    There is a boutique hotel in Vieques called HIX Island, which is designed by architect John Hix. It’s very good, worth to visit.
